Security

Dear Customers,

Security considerations when using internet banking:

  • Never perform Internet Banking transactions from public computers or public wireless networks. Public computers and networks may have malicious software that secretly records your username and password.
  • Do not use internet banking links from unfamiliar sources. Do not log in by redirecting to the Internet Branch login page from different pages.
  • Always use the "Secure Exit" button to exit DestekBank Internet Branch.
  • Do not save your password on your computer or browser. If you save it on your computer, encrypt it using encryption programs. Do not send your password and confidential information to other e-mail addresses without encryption.
  • Always use antivirus and personal firewall applications on your own computer.
  • Always keep the operating system you use up to date. Install the latest security patches. Never use an operating system that cannot receive security updates or whose support has expired.
  • If there has been an unsuccessful login attempt to the Internet Branch, the "Unsuccessful Login Attempts" screen opens on the first successful login. From this screen, you can see the last 10 failed login attempts to your account. You can also see the date and time information of the last 10 successful login records under the relevant menu. By checking the records of unsuccessful login attempts and successful logins, you can check whether there has been an attempt to log in to your account without your knowledge or whether your account has been logged in without your knowledge.
  • You should change your password periodically. Even if you do not change it, our Bank's password policy will direct you to change it periodically.
  • Download applications only from trusted and reliable sites and scan these applications with your anti-virus program.
  • DestekBank does not request you to install any certification on your mobile phone. When you encounter such a request, do not click on the relevant links and do not enter any information.
  • When entering your password, use the virtual keyboard on our Internet Branch. The virtual keyboard allows you to enter your password on the screen using only your mouse without using the keys on your computer keyboard. This will protect you from most of the malicious software that is installed on your computer without your knowledge and records the keys you enter from the keyboard. Since the virtual keyboard cannot fully protect you, you should use a personal firewall and keep your antivirus software and operating system up-to-date.

When setting your password, you should pay attention to the following rules.

  • It should not consist of consecutive or repeating digits (such as 123456, 111111).
  • It must consist of numbers and must have 6 digits.
  • It should not contain easily guessable information such as Turkish ID, customer or phone number or date of birth.
  • Your new password must be different from your last 3 passwords.
